Technology partnership offers scalable, future-proof archive solution for broadcast, post-production and VFX
TMD, a leading provider of digital asset management systems for digital and physical assets, has appointed ERA, the media IT solutions provider, as their sole distribution partner in the UK for its powerful new archive solution Paragon.
Headquartered in London and with offices in Salford’s MediaCityUK, ERA will be responsible for selling, installing and supporting Paragon exclusively in the UK market.
Paragon is TMD’s easy-to-use archiving solution that enables broadcasters, content owners and production companies to protect their video, audio and physical assets long term. Using LTFS and powered by TMD’s globally renowned Mediaflex® technology, it creates a digital content store that is device independent. Archives written to today’s LTO tape formats can be migrated to future generations, or even new storage media like holographic stores, without any loss of essence or metadata.
“ERA is a true IT solution provider with a wide base of loyal customers across the UK’s broadcast, post production and VFX community. They have years of experience in the definition and design of complex workflows and their focus on strong customer support complements our own approach to business,” said Tony Taylor, TMD’s Managing Director.
“We are pleased to be adding Paragon to our portfolio as it’s a perfect fit to our archive offering, enabling us to offer a single solution for both media asset management and library management,” said Sean Baker, ERA’s Commercial Director. “It’s a powerful solution that allows the user to increase functionality and scale the system as needs grow. ”
TMD will be showcasing Paragon and its range of Media Asset Management solutions on Stand 2.B59 at IBC, which takes place at Amsterdam’s RAI Centre from 11-15 September.
