London UK, 01/12/2025 – ERA, a specialist provider of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) for the Media & Entertainment industry, is proud to announce that it is now a Certified B Corporation™. This certification verifies that ERA meets B Lab’s high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.

By becoming B Corp Certified, ERA joins a global community of companies working collectively to transform the economic system to benefit all people, communities, and the planet. As a B Corp in the Media & Entertainment technology sector, ERA is counted among businesses that are helping to build an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economy.

“IaaS has an enormous role to play in how the creative industries adapt – from sustainability targets and resource constraints to hybrid working and global collaboration,” said Sean Baker, Managing Director at ERA. “Becoming a Certified B Corporation reflects our belief that technology should advance creativity while contributing positively to the world around us. This certification formalises our long-held commitment to balancing profit with purpose.”

What B Corp Certification Means

B Corp Certification means that ERA has been independently verified by B Lab™, the non-profit network behind the global B Corp movement, as meeting high standards across five key areas: workers, customers, community, governance and the environment.

Certification also requires companies to adopt stakeholder governance, committing to consider the impact of business decisions on all stakeholders – not just shareholders. This approach is designed to counter traditional models of shareholder primacy and help create more resilient, transparent and accountable organisations.

A Framework for Continuous Improvement

B Corps must recertify every three years, undertaking the full B Impact Assessment and verification process to demonstrate they continue to meet rising standards. As standards evolve with input from experts across the B Global Network, ERA will continue to advance its practices across sustainability, culture, governance and community impact.

“We are proud to stand alongside other certified businesses that are reshaping our economic system,” said Sue Baker ERA’s B Corp Lead. “Together, we are shifting the behaviour, culture, and structure of capitalism – moving from extraction to regeneration, and from individualism to interdependence. Becoming a B Corp is not a finish line; it’s a commitment to ongoing improvement.”

ERA’s Commitment to the Creative Sector

ERA’s on-demand services — including remote workstations, storage, backup and archive, and burst render capacity help studios reduce physical footprint, optimise energy use, and support more sustainable production workflows. This aligns closely with the movement toward greener production across the industry, including BAFTA albert initiatives and broader environmental goals.
