Welcome to our first update of the year.
We have had a great start to the year with BVE2016, the launch of our new cloud offerings, our BTCC sponsorship and new staff members joining – more details below.
We also have news about events in the upcoming months – and a new competition!
BVE2016 Roundup
BVE2016 Roundup As many of you may have seen, our theme for the show was ‘Driving Cloud Performance’ and we unveiled our new hosted storage solutions for content management and long term archiving – ERA CloudCopy and ERA CloudArchive.
We had an amazing racing car simulator on our stand and had a huge uptake on our competition for setting the fastest lap time around the Indy circuit at Brands Hatch. The prize was a weekend at Brands for the BTCC round this year and the winner was Tim Bertioli with the fastest lap time of 52.710! Congratulations Tim! Absolute Post
Absolute Post have completely outsourced its production IT requirements from its Poland Street offices to ERA’s hosted services. The first in the industry! Absolute has relocated all of its production IT infrastructure to the ERA secure datacentre including storage, workstations, rendering and networking. British Touring Car Championships (BTCC)
This BTTC 2016 racing season ERA have taken platinum sponsorship of the Rob Austin Racing teams business network. We will have the opportunity to take full advantage of corporate hospitality at the BTCC race events – including personal Q&A sessions plus VIP tours of the team’s pit garage, cars and the race grid itself. Watch this space!
Expansion of the team with storage specialists
Craig Hatter and Marcos Vera join the ERA team. Craig has worked in the Data Storage market space for over 25 years working with leading companies such as Tarmin, QStar and Plasmon and built a wealth of knowledge in helping customers to achieve their objectives. Marcos has a technical and solution architect background with more than 30 years in the storage space working at Tarmin, Eurotech and Paradigm amongst others . Both are a welcome addition to the ERA team.
Media Production Show
ERA will be exhibiting at the first Media Production Show on 9th & 10th June at the Business Design Center, Islington. Register for The Media Production Show now and we look forward to seeing you there.
