At BVE 2015 (24-26 February, London ExCel, Stand L40) ERA demonstrate cloud-based, collaborative workflows from Adobe and unveil new services available through ERA Cloud, including hosted infrastructure for Render and Transcode on-demand. Also showcase Dell’s high-performance workstation technology for creativity.
NEW FOR BVE: Render and Transcode On-Demand
ERA Cloud offers a range of hosted services tailored to the needs of today’s media industry, including creation, editing, management, distribution and storage – all with the simplicity, security, scalability and affordability of the cloud.
At BVE, ERA will preview new Render and Transcode on-demand services available through ERA Cloud. Broadcasters, studios and media companies can now use this hosted infrastructure on a transactional basis to simply and effectively scale and manage rendering and transcoding, without paying for costly and idle computing resources. ERA Cloud provides high performance multi-core servers and open integration to meet the most demanding requirements, avoiding high latency by collocating servers and storage in their datacentres.
Collaborative workflows with Adobe Anywhere and MXFserver
Also at the show, we will demonstrate the powerful collaborative editing capabilities of Adobe® Anywhere for video and MXFserver™. Adobe Anywhere for video is a collaborative workflow platform that empowers users of Adobe professional video solutions to work together, using centralized media accessed across standard networks. It enables creative professionals to work more closely together, at any time, no matter where their physical location might be. MXFserver is a software-only solution that provides an optimal environment for collaborative post-production. It offers a complete set of post-production management functions allowing the pre-alignment of source materials in workflows so that editors, graphic artists, producers and other users can easily find the materials they need for their projects. It gives editors the freedom to open and work on projects using the same or different editing systems simultaneously.
High-performance workstation technology for break-through creativity from Dell
This year ERA will be joined by our technology partner Dell, who will showcase a range of high performance workstations & monitors including the Dell UltraSharp U3415W, a 34-inch curved monitor with a panoramic view. This new display has WQHD resolution and superb sound quality. Visitors to ERA’s booth (L40) can also see the Dell Precision M3800, the thinnest and lightest 15” mobile workstation on the market. Offering exceptional CPU and graphics performance in a chassis just 1.8kg and 18mm thick, it has been designed ready for breakthrough creativity wherever you go. For creatives and engineers looking for a full professional-grade workstation, we will be demonstrating the Dell Precision T1700 SFF, featuring one of the latest Intel Xeon quad-core processors and NVIDIA Quadro graphics.
Recent integration projects
ERA comes to BVE following a busy and successful 12 months delivering IT-based solutions for media organisations across the world. The team will be available to discuss recent projects with you including an integrated workflow solution for CollecTV featuring Adobe, EVS and Pixit storage that supports Sky Sports outside broadcast operations; the rollout of STV’s clip sales website on ERA Cloud; the design and build of a Cisco network for Al Jazeera and storage upgrades for Oman TV’s Tedial media asset management system.
